Nelofar Pazira is an Afghan-Canadian director, actress, journalist and author. She was born in Hyderabad, India, where her Afghan father was then working with the World Health Organization. She grew up in Kabul, Afghanistan. In 2006, her memoir, A Bed of Red Flowers: In Search of My Afghanistan, was named winner of the Drainie-Taylor Biography Prize.

In 2009 she married the renowned journalist Robert Fisk. She wrote a postscript to his final book, NIGHT OF POWER: The Betrayal of the Middle East, which was published posthumously earlier this year. ‘Every sentence of Robert Fisk radiates his loathe of wars and the inevitable dehumanization they produce, which makes his (sadly) last book an everlasting warning, beyond its value as a meticulous historical recount and analysis of today's events’ Amira Hass, journalist, Haaretz
