The overall standard in this year's Allingham Adult Literary competitions was very good, and the winning and first and second placed entries were exceptional. Come and hear the literary voices of tomorrow at the Awards Ceremony in the Abbey Centre, Ballyshannon on Saturday, November 8th at 7pm.

The Allingham Festival Committee is pleased and grateful to announce the Murray-White / Sheegus awards at the 2014 Allingham Festival. Extending the theme of “Creativity Across Borders,” this year’s awards for children’s writing are funded by former Ballyshannon resident James Murray-White, writer and filmmaker who now lives and works in Cambridge UK. Zombies are taking over the the Allingham Festival next friday.
Due to unforeseen circumstances unfortunately Cartoon Saloon have had to pull out of this years Allingham Festival, but 'with every cloud comes ... an onslaught of flesh eating zombies from Derry!!!'
Joking aside, UPROAR Comics have stepped up and stepped in to replace Cartoon Saloon. Uproar will facilitate a workshop/seminar at 1:30pm (register now), and you can also hear all about how a couple of passionate hobbyists have built a creative multimedia production company in the NorthWest of Ireland at the evening event, An Eve Of Oscars & Emmys.
